The Tigers Trust takes great pride in uniting with the nation to joyfully commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. As we collectively observe this momentous occasion, we are dedicated to reflect on inclusivity and empowerment more profoundly than ever.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities falls on Sunday, 3rd December, which promotes the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The global statistics reveal that over 1 billion people live with a disability, which equals one in every seven individuals.

Within this compassionate framework, the Tigers Trust proudly hosts the Premier League Kicks Inclusive sessions which are weekly free sessions hosted on Monday evenings at the Tigers Trust Arena and Wednesday evenings at the Marvell College, for individuals with additional needs and disabilities (SEND).

Numerous tales of triumph have emerged from participants who engage in these sessions, showcasing the profound impact of the experiences offered. Take, for instance, the inspiring journey of Kasper Newby, a 15-year-old who is also a Hull City match ball assistant, was granted an unforgettable opportunity through an exclusive behind-the-scenes training ground tour. He also engaged in a captivating Q&A session with his footballing idols, courtesy of the generosity of Hull City.

Equally heartwarming is the story of eight-year-old Toby Lawler, who found himself in the middle of an unforgettable moment when he received an invitation to the MKM Stadium. There, he not only had the privilege of appearing in the annual Hull City squad photo but did so donned in his very own Hull City shirt. This cherished memory which will stay with Toby for a lifetime.

In addition, we took great pride in showcasing the remarkable accomplishments of Adam Loubani, a two-time Special Olympics gold medallist swimmer. Adam also got to explore behind-the-scenes areas at the Hull City training ground, immersing himself in an unforgettable experience. Furthermore, his outstanding achievements led to his well-deserved recognition as the guest of honour during Hull City's fixture against Watford.

These recounted stories are just the initial glimpses into the wealth of extraordinary experiences our participants have encountered, and the promise of more enriching moments yet to unfold is incredibly exciting.
