Hello guest

The turn of the new year has seen our NCS team visit schools across the region to tell young people about an amazing opportunity they have this summer.

NCS provides the buzz of being an adult without the responsibility of being an adult.

Over a few weeks it gives teenagers (15-17) a crash course in life skills that inspire them to feel independent.

Josh Barrett, NCS Officer at the Tigers Trust, said that this year’s programme will encourage the young people to come out of their shell and discover their potential.

He said: “This summer, the young people on NCS will visit Dearne Valley doing Outward Bound activities to get them out of their comfort zone, such as rock climbing and raft building.

“In the first week, they’ll also take part in a cooking challenge and a business enterprise activity.

“The second week will see the young people take inspiration from their hobbies and interests to make a difference in their own community.

“For example, if they have an interest in music, they could put on a charity concert to raise funds for a local charity.”

If you want to experience the summer of a lifetime whilst making an impact in your community, please sign up here.

The Tigers Trust are also looking for Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders to assist with this summer’s programme.
