The Tigers Trust were delighted to play host to a thrilling Year 7&8 boys futsal tournament at the University of Hull today.

The Premier League Inspires programme is dedicated to nurturing students' personal development and guiding them towards a greater understanding of their educational and career pathways. Tailored activities like tournaments offer secondary school students invaluable opportunities to surmount obstacles hindering their progress, such as low confidence, self-esteem, attendance issues, or social skills deficits.

At this tournament, held within the University of Hull, we warmly welcomed six of our partnered secondary schools: Sirius Academy West, Wolfreton, Winifred Holtby, Driffield, Malet Lambert, and Marvell College.

These schools brought forth spirited teams comprising students from years 7&8, engaging in nearly 20 intense fixtures throughout the action-packed day. The event showcased remarkable athleticism, with outstanding saves, impressive counter attacks, and exemplary displays of sportsmanship on full display.

In a gripping final showdown, Wolfreton Team A clinched victory over Sirius Academy West with a hard-fought 1-0 win, securing their triumph in the tournament and claiming the coveted trophy! 🏆

Congratulations to all participants for their contributions to this truly memorable occasion and exemplary display of fair play throughout the entire tournament.
