The Tigers Trust held a day of activity for attendees of the Tigers Together sessions, as well as participants from the Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation’s (MFC Foundation) social inclusion programmes.

The Tigers Together sessions supported 120 individual attendances across the 2021/22 season and are delivered for those who are looking to improve their mental wellbeing through football.

The event started with a one-hour game at the Tigers Trust Arena, with MFC Foundation coming out on top in an entertaining match-up.

Following the game, attendees took part in a tour of the MKM Stadium, in which they had the chance to explore behind-the-scenes areas and take pictures pitchside.

Participants also got the chance to sit down with each other to explain their own personal stories with mental health.

Tigers Together attendee Rhys said: “It’s a good feeling, and it’s the first time that I’ve played a proper game that isn’t 5-a-side in a long time.

“It’s nice just to play different people and have that distraction for an hour while playing a team that are nationally recognised.”
