Hello guest

Today, we had the immense pleasure of hosting nearly 200 students from seven of our partnered Premier League Inspires secondary schools at the Tigers Trust Arena for a day brimming with inspiration.

The Premier League Inspires programme passionately connects with students who often encounter barriers impeding their journey to realising their full potential—barriers such as low confidence, self-esteem issues, attendance concerns, or social skill challenges.

Throughout the day, students enthusiastically participated in a diverse range of captivating activities, immersing themselves in experiences that could potentially unveil new passions and interests, offering intriguing insights along the way. The lineup featured engaging workshops courtesy of Humberside Fire and Rescue, providing a glimpse into the life of a firefighter; Hyett Education's STEM Workshop, empowering students to program drones; an enriching acting workshop from Hull Truck Theatre; and an exciting behind-the-scenes MKM Stadium Tour provided by Tigers Trust Staff.

As the afternoon unfolded, the excitement grew as we welcomed Hull City Academy scholars Stan Hewitt and Aidan Durkan. They not only observed the activities with keen interest but also actively participated in some of the sessions, engaging with students in the process. The day also included a thoughtful Q&A session, adding an extra layer of depth to the students' experiences.

Reflecting on this impactful event, Ellis Oliver, the Trust's Premier League Inspires Lead, expressed, "These days are designed to put into practice a range of skills developed in sessions with staff over a period of weeks in school, by interacting with guests from external organisations.

"I would like to thank all our external organizations, as well as Stan and Aidan, for their invaluable contributions in engaging with the students. Well done to everyone present for transforming this day into a truly memorable experience.
