The Tigers Trust were thrilled to host an Active Through Football Event at the Tigers Trust Arena alongside Club Doncaster Foundation, prior to Hull City’s clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The Active Through Football programme, run in collaboration with Hull City Council and Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd (HCaL), aims to tackle inequalities by providing a range of activities and opportunities for two specific groups: young people aged 16-19 and individuals from black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds.

We had the pleasure of welcoming participants from both the Club Doncaster Foundation, as well as those who regularly attend our own sessions here at the Tigers Trust, to an engaging Active Through Football Event filled with various activities on Saturday.

Both teams consisted of members from the international community and refugees, aligning with the target demographic of the Active Through Football Programme.

Throughout the event, both our attendees and those from Doncaster were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the MKM Stadium, exploring the dugout areas, tunnel, and changing rooms, which were prepped with shirts ahead of Hull City's match with Ipswich Town.

Following the tour, the teams returned to the Tigers Trust Arena for an exhilarating football match showcasing remarkable teamwork, impressive skills, and solid defending. After an exciting contest, the match concluded in a 2-2 draw, a credit to both teams for their efforts.

Subsequently, both teams were generously provided with complimentary tickets to the MKM Stadium to witness Hull City's action-packed 3-3 draw against Ipswich Town, an experience enjoyed by all.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in the event, contributing to a fantastic Saturday for all involved.
