Sam’s involvement with the Tigers Trust started as a participant at the Premier League Kicks sessions.

The Premier League Kicks programme started in 2010 and has since engaged with thousands of local young people to encourage them to play football and take part in positive activities to enable safer and more respectful communities.

Sam now attends the Trust's Tigers Together sessions which provide a safe space for those people living with mental difficulties to come together and develop their skills and feel better about themselves.

Sam now plays an integral part of the group acts as fantastic role model and example for others to follow.

Tigers Trust staff have become highly appreciative of Sam’s attitude and staff member said: “As staff it is often hard to share your time with everyone in the group so having the support from members like Sam is a huge help in the running of the session."

Sam has also been incredibly helpful when incorporating new participants to the group.

Speaking about the sessions, Sam said: “The sessions are a god send.

"They are a cracking set of lads who get on with each other and help each other in and out of sessions, also the support is amazing from the staff. Spot on overall, the sessions bring a lot of joy."
