Hello guest

Staff from the Tigers Trust recently competed against each other in a football match followed by a coffee morning as well as introducing a postive comments board as part of The January Blues Campaign.

After the excitement and bustle of the Christmas holidays, it is completely natural to feel a little down at this time of the year.

January Blues manifests itself as feelings of low mood, sadness, lack of motivation, tiredness and low energy.

It is also the peak season for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), which can induce serious depressive episodes during the darker months and sometimes the pressure of starting a fresh new year can feel overwhelming to some.

The Trust's Tigers Pathways Delivery Officer Amy Blinkhorn and Delivery Officer Marc Daddy wanted to bring a positive workplace enviroment to The Trust for the start of this new year by introducing a positive comments board in the office.

This allows colleagues to praise one another by writing a positive message about them on a piece of card and pinning it to the board, It aims to bring a smile to the other person and focuses on making them feel good about themelves.

The board also highlights a photo of the Trust's Star of the Month which shows appreciation to the individual's efforts throughout the last month.

In Addition to this, a staff kickaround was arranged by Amy and Marc at the Arena last week as staff of all different roles at The Trust matched up against one another which resulted in a facinating draw.

Shortly after the match, staff were able to sit down and socialise with hot drinks and biscuits.
