The Tigers Trust takes immense pride in commemorating National Youth Work Week 2023 as an integral part of the EFL Week of Action 2023.

Dedicated to recognizing the significance of youth work throughout the United Kingdom, National Youth Work Week is an annual event aimed at shedding light on the positive influence that youth work wields on the lives of young individuals and its transformative impact.

The Tigers Trust's inclusion team actively contributes to this meaningful initiative through the implementation of a diverse array of programmes. From the Premier League Kicks and Premier League Kicks Inclusive sessions to Tigers Pathways and the Active through Football programme and many more, these initiatives represent just the tip of the iceberg in our commitment to supporting youth of all ages.

It is crucial that we not only reflect on the impact of our efforts but also celebrate how our work can be a beacon of support for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, creating a safe space where they feel embraced and empowered.

Emphasizing the importance of this week, Social Inclusion Manager Kayleigh Jackson expressed, "Youth workers serve as exemplary role models, playing a pivotal role in the development and well-being of young people. They provide safe havens, offering support and guidance as young people navigate the challenges of adolescence. Listening to the voices of young individuals, they offer advice as trusted adults, enabling them to make informed decisions."

Kayleigh also highlighted the vital role played by the social inclusion team in youth work: "The Social Inclusion Team within the Tigers Trust empowers young people in personal development by providing education and skill-building opportunities. This commitment is evident in our team, with 25% having been former participants in the Kicks program. We deliver prevention and intervention services within the City of Hull to help reduce crime rates among young people."
