Education opportunities available with the Tigers Trust

 

The Tigers Trust is proud to create the opportunity to raise educational attainment and promote a value of lifelong learning, whilst increasing access to the 'world of work'. 

 

A variety of opportunities are available for those looking to develop their skills and gain industry experience in the sports sector. 

 

 

 

The following degrees are available:  

 

 

 

If you sign up to the course, you will be enrolled as a student at the University of South Wales and have online access to the necessary learning materials to complete your degree. Additionally, you will spend a minimum of seven days per year at the University of South Wales High Performance Centre – the USW Sport Park and receive full accommodation during these teaching blocks. 

 

Weekly engagement with the course will take place at the Tigers Trust Arena over an average of 2 days per week.

The course will provide you with the foundations in both knowledge and practical experience to prepare you for higher education or the workplace. 

 

Modules of study are selected to cover a diversity of areas within the sports industry enabling you to make informed choices as to whether to study for a degree, enter apprenticeships or the workplace at the end of your studies. 

 

The first year of the programme will see you study a Diploma in Sports Coaching, before then having the option of studying an Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching in your second year.
