The Tigers Trust is proud to be working alongside key partners to deliver the Active Through Football programme to the Hull and East Yorkshire region.

Active Through Football is a Football Foundation and Sport England initiative that aims to increase physical activity by creating a delivery plan that reflects the needs of the city and its residents.

Working alongside Hull City Council and Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd (HCaL), the Tigers Trust will deliver the scheme which aims to tackle inequalities by delivering football opportunities to those aged 16-19 from a BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) background.

These free sessions include community engagement, informal turn up and play sessions, walking football and futsal, and have already been delivered at The Goodwin Centre and Haworth Park.

Tigers Trust CEO Catherine Bishop said: “The Trust is delighted to be the lead delivery partner for this important activity programme across the city.

“Active Through Football has enabled effective collaborations between ourselves, Hull City Council, HCaL, Active Humber and many other key partners involved in supporting our communities be active.

“Being active supports improved health and well-being, which is increasingly important in the world we are currently living and working in.

“We look forward to working with our partners to ensure this programme is a success”
