On Day 4 of #TrusteesWeek, we continue to celebrate the importance of quality and committed Trustees. Diane is one of our longstanding Trustees, supporting the Trust with all things legal and quality governance advice.
Born within sight and sound of the Tigers Trust Arena and a lifelong supporter of our affiliated football club. Diane has spent her career in the civil service, and then onto a legal career. Currently working locally as a part time solicitor specialising in planning law. Diane love her job and shares ‘it mirrors what we do at the Trust - building for the future carefully and sustainably and helping to protect our community from harm’. Outside of the day job, Diane is shares with us she is a passionate, some would say an obsessive, gardener; she is a keen (if clumsy) hillwalker and loves to ski (not always confidently and often with trauma but gets there in the end especially if bribed with Cadburys Whole Nut and a glass of rose at the apres bar!
Diane enjoys working with the Trust and watching lives flourish, young and older. She is proud of the fabulous team at the Trust and Arena and enjoys being part of a ‘first class Board with an astonishing mix of skills and huge commitment to what we do’.
Diane's commented: “Being a Trustee means - back to my grass roots, helping others build their future and can't think of a better way to fill my spare time!”
Our CEO Catherine Bishop expressed her delight at Diane's contributions:“Diane contributes so much to our Board and to the Trust. She has been on hand to support with some important decisions and situations, bringing with her a wealth of experience and knowledge from her successful legal career. Diane has many qualities and has a great sense of humour, which is hugely valued by all at the Trust and Board. Diane’s skills have been important to support our compliance and audit requirements, playing a key role in the transformation of the Trust over recent years. Thank you for all your support.”
