The Tigers Trust is proud to celebrate Black History Month 2024, with our team members leading engaging workshops for children as part of the Premier League Primary Stars initiative.

The Premier League Primary Stars programme uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to be active and develop important life skills.

Black History Month, celebrated every October, offers a valuable opportunity to share, celebrate, and recognise the profound impact of Black heritage and culture. It's important for children to understand the reasons behind this celebration and its significance in promoting diversity and inclusion within our communities.

As part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, several classes at Sidmouth Primary School in Hull, along with many other schools, who are participating in activities focused on both current and former Black Hull City players.

We brought in shirts worn by black players who have represented the Tigers over the years, and the children were tasked with matching the shirt numbers to the players. While doing so, they learned interesting facts about how many times the players represented the club and where they were born.

After our session at Sidmouth Primary School, the children had the exciting opportunity to try on the shirts, an experience they all thoroughly enjoyed!

Check out the best moments below!
