Tigers Trust Host First Ever Charity Golf Day
Posted on 5th July 2024 at 21:39
The Tigers Trust was delighted to host its first-ever charity golf day today at the beautiful Brough Golf Club under splendid weather conditions.
We welcomed 15 teams of four players, including several businesses, who took part in an 18-hole shotgun tournament starting from 1pm. All groups teed off simultaneously from different holes, creating a day filled with high spirits and laughter. Participants enjoyed drinks and snacks on the way from our refreshment buggy, provided by our lovely staff members who rotated around the course.
After over four hours of brilliant golf, participants headed back to the clubhouse to enjoy a delicious BBQ and drinks, watch the Spain vs Germany game, and participated in a question-and-answer session with Hull City legend Nick Barmby, hosted by the well-known Alex Burgess. Barmby answered many questions about England's progress in the Euros and reflected on his Hull City playing days.
Following the Q&A session, attendees had the opportunity to enter a raffle with exciting prizes such as hospitality places, signed footballs, retro shirts, and Hull City match tickets. We also announced the tournament results: Chris O’Neill Consultancy came last and received a consolation prize meal for four which included tinned good such as mushy peas and rice pudding must to the delighted of the audience, Simpson Garnett placed third and won 4 tickets to a Hull City game in the 2024/25 season, Phoenix Building Systems were runners-up and received 4 x £30 American Golf vouchers, and our proud winners were Kingstown Plumbing Limited, who won 4 hospitality places in the Circle Restaurant at any Hull City game for the 2024/25 season.
A huge thanks to everyone who took part in an amazing day, including our Hole Sponsors Rollits, Jupiter IT, Finnies, ECS Surfacing LTD, and Accounting Solutions Hull LTD, as well as Alex Burgess for hosting the Q&A session and Brough Golf Club for being a fantastic host all around!
