On Thursday, 13th November, Tigers Trust proudly hosted its first-ever Business Breakfast, welcoming local businesses from across Hull and East Yorkshire.
The event was designed to bring businesses together to connect, collaborate, and experience first-hand the positive impact Tigers Trust is making across Hull and the Humber. Guests enjoyed a relaxed networking session to start the day, accompanied by hot drinks, breakfast sandwiches, and fresh fruit kindly provided by Tigers Events.
Once seated, the morning was introduced by compere Brendon Smurthwaite, who welcomed everyone before handing over to Tigers Trust’s Director of Community, who expressed her appreciation for the fantastic turnout. Attendees then heard from an inspiring line-up of guest speakers, including Sarah Waller (Executive Headteacher at Parkstone Primary School), Sarah Leaf (Head of St Nicholas Primary School) from two of our partner Primary Schools, Luke Bottomley (Director of James Ray Recruitment and valued Silver Business Partner), and Jonathan Evison (Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside). Each speaker shared powerful insights into the positive impact Tigers Trust has on children, young people, and adults across the region.
The event also featured success stories from individuals who have progressed through Tigers Trust programmes, showcased through impactful videos. During the break, guests enjoyed interactive activities such as cornhole, target practice, a business card fishbowl competition, and a LinkedIn post challenge, with fantastic prizes up for grabs, including hospitality places, signed footballs, and vouchers.
The second half of the morning saw Head of Business and Operations, Richard Dexter, outline the Trust’s partnership packages and explain how business support can transform lives while delivering real benefits to partners. Richard also highlighted the incredible partnerships already in place and shared how new businesses can begin their journey with Tigers Trust.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning such a success, and to Tigers Events for delivering outstanding catering.
