The Tigers Trust were delighted to host its annual Matchday Takeover at the MKM Stadium on Easter Monday as Hull City faced league leaders Coventry City.

The day provided a fantastic platform to share powerful stories and showcase the impactful work delivered by the Trust across the local community. Through a wide range of programmes, the Trust supports children, young people and adults by breaking down barriers, creating opportunities, and helping individuals realise their potential to lead healthier and happier lives.

The evening began with a Hull City Junior Fan Park hosted at the Tigers Trust Arena, where young supporters enjoyed a variety of fun inflatable games. Children attending received a free Easter egg, where parents were encouraged to make a donation.

This positive start to the night also saw strong attendance at the Tigers Trust Matchday Bar at the Tigers Trust Arena, where supporters gathered to enjoy pre‑match refreshments.

In the build‑up to kick‑off, Tigers Trust volunteers were visible around the MKM Stadium with bucket collectors, plus cash and card donation points located around the ground. Thanks to the support of thankyü, an easy‑to‑use digital donation platform, supporters were able to donate more simply than ever.

The Tigers Trust was also featured on the front cover of the matchday programme, including a donation QR code alongside Trust participants Bruno, Oscar and Andy, with further content inside highlighting stories and statistics from the Trust’s diverse range of programmes.

Inside the stadium, the Tigers Trust presence continued to shine. Hull City players warmed up wearing Tigers Trust‑branded T‑shirts thanks to Kingston Branding, which will later be auctioned via Tiger Leisure to raise further funds. The Trust also benefited from prominent exposure on the big screen and LED advertising boards throughout the evening.

Participants from the Trust’s disability sessions alongside Trust staff members were also delighted to host the MKM Tuck Shop in the South Stand, welcoming supporters with smiles before they took their seats.

As the teams emerged from the tunnel, the trio of Tigers Trust participants featured on the programme cover proudly led the teams out in front of over 22,000 supporters. The moment was shared alongside 13‑year‑old mascot Harry, whose experience was made possible thanks to the generosity of ATR Building Services, who donated a mascot place they won at the Trust’s ‘A Question of Sport’ event earlier this year.

The Tigers Trust would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated so generously on the night and to Hull City for providing the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the Trust’s vital work within the community.
