Tigers Trust host 2024/25 Premier League Inspires Club Heat Challenge

The Tigers Trust was thrilled to host the 2024/2025 Premier League Inspires Club Heat Challenge at the MKM Stadium today. Students from five secondary schools in Hull and East Riding came together to create a social action project focused on gender equality and ensuring equal opportunities for everyone.
The Premier League Inspires project partners with secondary school students facing challenges such as low confidence, self-esteem issues, attendance concerns, or difficulties with social skills, aiming to help them unlock their full potential. A key part of this programme is the Premier League Inspires Club Heat Challenge, which engages students in impactful social action initiatives.
The day began with the five partnered schools brainstorming ideas with classmates and teachers during a set time period. Using tools like spider diagrams and PowerPoint presentations, they explored various social actions, including campaigns, awareness initiatives, fundraising, practical projects, training, education, or fostering conversations on the topic.
In teams, students discussed questions such as:
What does gender equality mean to you?
Where does it occur?
What challenges do young people face around this issue?
What are the positive and negative impacts of gender inequality?
And how can football contribute to promoting gender equality?
When our team's time came to an end, each school presented their innovative ideas to a panel of judges, which included Hull City Academy’s Harry Revill and Josh Ocaya. After careful deliberation, Driffield School emerged as the winner!
Following the presentations, students enjoyed an engaging Q&A session with the players and had the opportunity to take photos with them.
Every participating school should be proud of the creativity and dedication they demonstrated during this event. Driffield School will now represent the Tigers Trust and Hull City in London, where they will showcase their ideas alongside other club community organisations (CCOs) working on similar social action projects.
Congratulations to everyone involved for making this event such a success!
