During the summer the Tigers Trust successfully completed an exciting search for our new Director of Community, following Catherine’s decision to move on at the end of this year.
The Trustees were keen to find a highly motivated and energetic leader to provide strong and inspirational leadership, to continue to develop and deliver our ambitious strategic plan and continue to increase the brand, impact and reputation of both the Trust and Hull City Football Club.
We had a positive and extensive search and are now delighted to confirm the appointment of Lorna Leach who will join the Trust in January 2025, and take the reins from Catherine to lead our passionate and dedicated team onwards through the Trust’s next exciting phase, when Catherine moves on in December.
Sean Royce, Chairman shared: “We are thrilled to have Lorna join us as our new Director of Community to lead the Tigers Trust through the next chapter in its development. Lorna has held senior roles at London Sport, Lincolnshire Cricket, Active Lincolnshire as well her most recent role as Head of Strategic Partnerships at Macmillan Cancer Support so has a wealth of experience in creating partnerships to empower communities through sport to live healthy and happy lives. This is also the core of our purpose at the Trust and I know her passion and energy will be a huge asset for the Trust and our community.”
Lorna herself is thrilled to be joining the Tigers Trust as the Director of Communities and shared “I have always believed that sport has the power to change lives and create positive, meaningful experiences for everyone, regardless of their background or aspirations, something I have in common with the Trust. I look forward to leveraging my experiences and knowledge to build upon the excellent work that Catherine and the team have accomplished. I am confident that, together with the communities of Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire, we can continue to achieve great things.”
Catherine will leave the Trust in December after nearly 6 years and is looking forward to introducing Lorna to the Trust key stakeholders and completing a handover in the next few weeks.
