The Tigers Trust were delighted to welcome three Schools down to the Tigers Trust Arena to participate in a range of activities to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities is about promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development, and to raise awareness of people living with disabilities in life and promoting inclusiveness in everything we do.
We are proud to provide Inclusive turn up and play Premier League Kicks Inclusive sessions every Monday Night at the Tigers Trust Arena and every Wednesday night at Northcott School for ages 8-18.
To celebrate this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we had the privilege of welcoming students with additional needs from Riverside Special School, Hessle High School, and Northcott School. The students enthusiastically participated in a variety of inclusive sports activities, including walking football and Boccia. It was heartwarming to see their joy and team spirit throughout the day, culminating in every participant receiving a Hull City medal - a moment that brought smiles to everyone’s faces!
The students then took part in a behind the scenes MKM Stadium Tour where they were able to explore behind-the-scenes areas like executive boxes, changing rooms and pitchside which gave them a glimpse into areas only seen on matchday.
A huge thank you to all the schools who joined us for making today a brilliant occasion!
