Tigers Trust’s Tigers Pathways programme has launched a new partnership with Bishop Burton College to support college leavers who may need additional guidance as they transition out of education and into their next steps.
The collaboration brings together the strengths of the charity sector and the further education sector, offering targeted employability support for young people who could otherwise find themselves disconnected from opportunities after leaving college.
The initiative, led by John Hannam - employment officer, focuses on upskilling learners through practical employability sessions, confidence building activities and personalised support that prepares them for the world of work. The aim is to ensure young people feel equipped, informed and supported as they move towards employment, further education or training.
Tigers Pathways provides a holistic model that goes beyond CVs and applications, supporting young people with wellbeing, motivation, real world preparation and the confidence to take their next step. Staff bring experience from backgrounds in coaching, mentoring, mental health and youth development, ensuring each participant receives support tailored to their needs.
By working closely with Bishop Burton College, Tigers Trust can offer a smooth, supportive transition for learners who may benefit from extra guidance at a pivotal moment in their lives. The partnership aims to create positive, sustainable outcomes, helping young people progress into meaningful employment, further study or training.
