Hello guest
Your basket is empty
This week marks #NationalApprenticeshipWeek... we took the opportunity to ask our team of apprentices some questions for a short Q & A. Today is the turn of our apprentice, Bradley!

First up, tell us a little bit about you

Hi I'm Bradley, I'm 17, and I am an apprentice at the Tigers Trust. When I'm not working, I'm usually watching football, or listening to my record collection.

What do you love about sports coaching?

My favourite thing about sports coaching is seeing something you've taught actually succeed. For example, if a child isn't throwing the ball in the right way, I will step in and show them the right way and then they know how to do it.

What’s your dream role in the future?

In the future my dream role is to be a football coach for a professional team.

What has your highlight of your apprenticeship been?

So far my highlight has been the Christmas Football Centres at the Tigers Trust Arena. That was really fun to be part of!

Any advice for young people that are considering an apprenticeship?

My advice is that you should just go for it. I was at college doing something I didn't enjoy and then this opportunity popped up and I grabbed it with both hands and haven't looked back. It was the best decision I've made.

Across 2021, we're looking forward to being able to offer a variety of positions to young people as part of the Kickstart Scheme. You can apply for these through the local job centre. Contact us more information on our Kickstart scheme.

Future apprenticeship opportunities will always be posted on our social media platforms and our Careers and Opportunities website page.
