The Tigers Trust Arena was filled with excitement last week as Hull City Academy paid a special visit, delivering a memorable afternoon for our disability participants.
In the spirit of Christmas, the Academy wanted to create something truly special for the young people who regularly attend our sessions. These sessions take place on Monday evenings at the Tigers Trust Arena and Wednesday afternoons at Northcott School as part of our free Premier League Kicks provision, which aims to inspire and engage young people through sport.
The players joined in a variety of multisport and football activities during thier visit to the Arena, much to the delight of our participants, who relished the chance to play alongside some of the club’s rising stars.
The atmosphere was one of joy and inclusion, with smiles all around as the young people showcased their skills, teamwork, and passion for the game. For many, the opportunity to share the pitch with Hull City Academy players was a dream come true and a memory they will cherish for years to come.
Following the activities, the group had the opportunity to meet the players more personally, collecting photos and autographs before receiving thoughtful Christmas gifts from the players. The gesture brought immense happiness, with participants leaving the arena full of festive spirit and treasured memories.
Parents and carers also expressed their gratitude, noting how much the visit meant to their children and how it highlighted the power of sport to bring communities together.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hull City Academy for taking the time to visit and for making this occasion so special for our community. Their generosity and commitment to supporting inclusive opportunities for young people perfectly capture the true spirit of the season.
