The Tigers Trust have been successful in gaining funding from the Two Ridings Community Foundation (TRF) to deliver further work in the HU6 area of the city, in partnership with St.Michaels Youth Project.
Tigers Trust Social Inclusion Manager, Kayleigh Jackson said:
“A huge thanks to TRF for allowing us to further expand our partnership with St Michaels Youth Project. HU6 is an area we have delivered PL Kicks in since 2010, but the funds will allow us to continue to engage with young people when face to face sessions are currently on hold and beyond. We understand the need to support young people now more than ever in the current circumstances.”
The work will take place the Orchard Park area and specially trained members of our Premier League Kicks Targeted team will be facilitating the service.
Jackie McCafferty, Programmes Manager at Two Ridings commented:
‘We are delighted to be able to provide funding for these two amazing organisations as they come together to deliver much needed support to young people in Hull. One of the most urgent issues that has been exacerbated during the coronavirus crisis is young people’s mental health. The closure of much needed youth provision and the switch to online delivery of activity, which is just not accessible for so many, has left huge numbers of vulnerable young people out on a limb and at risk of exploitation and with a second lockdown now in place this support has never been more needed’.
