EXCITING VACANCY: Post 16 Education Manager

We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated individual to lead the delivery of all Post 16 education at the Tigers Trust, which will include the BTEC Level 2 and Level 3, and BSc Hons Foundation Degree programmes.
The Tigers Trust has delivered a variety of different programmes within a youth and community setting since 1990 and has engages with over 45,000 members of the community to encourage them to live active, healthy, and happy lifestyles.
The post holder will be responsible for growth of the Post 16 programmes, maximising the impact and reach of this area of work, driving recruitment through a variety of channels. The post holder will work collaboratively with funders and education providers to ensure the programmes are compliant with operating standards. They will be responsible for monitoring the progress of all post 16 education students, reporting back to key partners including the University of South Wales and the League Football Education.
In addition, The post holder will line manage staff working on the Tigers Trust Post 16 education programmes and will oversee the programme finances. They will work with the senior leadership team to make sure the project is delivered efficiently and effectively, ensuring it is sustainable and well positioned for growth and development.
Key accountabilities of the role:
Managing the delivery of the Tigers Trust BTEC and Foundation Degree. Ensuring monitoring and evaluation is up to date, work is marked, and learner progress is tracked.
Embedding quality assurance across all elements of delivery, building a robust system which promotes staff development.
Support the growth of the Trusts education arm, working collaboratively with the wider Tigers Trust programmes to maximise impact and reach.
Create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment which allows learners to progress and develop.
Ensure reports and records are maintained, shared with senior leadership team and key stakeholders.
Manage parents evenings for BTEC students where appropriate.
Liaise with stakeholders to meet their needs and retain business, which will include managing relationships with multiple education providers.
Line management of staff, including timetabling, regular 1 to 1s and PDRs.
Manage programme finances, working with our SLT and finance providers to ensure the project remains on track with budgets and costs.
Deliver on aspects of the programme where and when needed.
Attend CPD, events and conferences as required by the role.
Produce project reports in line with funding and business needs, which includes but is not limited to impact reports for stakeholders and data for internal use.
Support the entry of a Tigers Trust Team into the EFL fixtures programme and manage the delivery of team training.
Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Tigers Trust.
Liaise with other agencies to help address the wider issues of health and wellbeing.
Risk assess all activities and manage accidents or incidents according to company policy.
Ensure equality and eliminate any direct or indirect discriminatory practices and behavior.
Ensure compliance with relevant company policies and procedures – Data Protection, Health & Safety, Safeguarding etc.
Experience - Essential
Experience of working in education, delivering qualifications and training.
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to support attainment.
Knowledge of careers advice and pathways to support students in their next steps.
Demonstrated success at creating and delivering educational activities and events.
Experience of leading diverse teams throughout different working projects and events.
Comfortable using a variety of communication, both internally and externally, including written skills, verbal, presenting, and IT.
Previous experience working in the charity sector or working in community focused organisations.
An understanding of the role a football club plays in its community.
Experience - Desirable
Experience of managing and developing projects from start to finish. This includes creation of resources and bid writing, formal reviews and impact reports.
Knowledge and understanding of BTEC level 2/3 in Sport.
Knowledge of professional standards for Further Education.
Experience of managing HR and supporting staff development.
Knowledge of health and safety, including producing risk assessments.
Ability to think strategically and work in accordance with the wider organisation, driving the culture, vision and mission.
