Hello guest
Your basket is empty
After an extraordinary nine years of dedicated service on the Tigers Trust Board of Trustees, Diane is preparing to step down, having played an essential role in steering the Trust’s inspiring journey of growth and success.

Diane describes her time as a Trustee as both a tremendous privilege and a genuine pleasure. She says, “I will always continue to follow the Trust’s progress. It is an invaluable asset to a region facing many challenges, and it consistently delivers outstanding results.”

As her tenure draws to a close, we had the opportunity to sit down with Diane to reflect on her impactful experiences and lasting contributions to the Trust’s mission.

What it has meant to represent the Trust as a Trustee?

I have been a season ticket holder of the Hull City team since aged about 10. I was born and raised not many metres from the Trust Arena in a house on Walton Street and was educated locally starting with the Paisley Street Primary School. I had a fantastic education despite being raised in absolute poverty in a single parent family. I became a solicitor despite this challenging start and when the chance to become a Trustee was offered, I jumped in. This community was my making and I wanted to give something back and also support the future regeneration of the area. Education and sport are the key to unlocking potential and releasing opportunity and I wanted to encourage and embrace this.

A memorable moment or proudest achievement?

Winning Charity of the Year last year was an extraordinary milestone - a moment of immense pride and a testament to our unwavering commitment to making a difference.

What will you miss the most?

The board has a fantastic mix of skills, and everyone gets on so well, No one is in here for personal gain and kudos. It’s all about the Trust aims and gains and the community benefits AND supporting the exceptional staff team. I have loved being a Trustee. It will be emotional. Sean Royce and Nick Rennardson are born leaders and have, and will be, exceptional Chairman and a huge credit to the Trust and our City.

How you’ve seen the Trust evolve since you started, and your hopes for the future?

From commercial naivety and risk concerns, to a strong and sustainable position and financial stability. Lockdown was a huge challenge on many counts but Catherine Bishop steered a tight and safe ship. Lorna has huge and exciting plans for the future of the Trust and commercial opportunities for the Arena and its environs to secure its ongoing viability. I am excited!

We would like to thank Diane for all her efforts while serving as a Trustee and for her valuable contributions in helping the Trust develop and grow!
