Hello guest

Connor Webster, aged 15, has always had a passion for dancing. Unfortunately, this led to severe bullying throughout school. His mother took to Facebook to shed light on the daily torment her son faced. Thankfully, a member of our Tigers Trust team stumbled upon the post.
Through our Premier League Kicks programme, we offer free dance classes weekly at St. Michael's Youth Project and Church Hall for children aged 8-18 on Wednesday and Friday Nights. Upon seeing the post from Connor's mother on Facebook, our staff member, Kayleigh, reached out to Connor's mother and extended an invitation to join one of our Dance classes.
Since attending the Dance sessions, Connor's confidence has soared. In his own words, "I finally found a place where I belong, where I'm accepted for being different. Tigers Trust feels like family."
We wanted to celebrate Connor's remarkable resilience and commitment to his passion of dance. While football may not be one of his interests, Hull Theatres stepped in to provide a wonderful surprise. We originally approached them to see if we could arrange something special for Connor, explaining his story and they came up with a brilliant idea.
Last month, "Edward Scissorhands" graced the stage at Hull New Theatre, starring Hull-born performer Liam Mower. The theatre team saw this as a golden opportunity for Connor to meet a positive role model, explore the backstage workings of a show, and, of course, enjoy the wonderful performance as a special guest.
Connor was even gifted a programme perosnally by Liam signed by some of the actors participating in the show, which added a lovely touch to brighten Connor's experience.
Reflecting on his backstage experience and meeting Liam, Connor remarked, "It was brilliant. I got to see how all the props and costumes were set up, see the actors. This experience has fuelled my desire to explore similar opportunities in the future."
We would like to thank Hull Theatres for their exceptional hospitality and for making this memorable occasion possible for Connor.
Take a peek at some of the highlights from Connor's visit below.
