An exciting new opportunity studying through our BTEC L2 and L3 Sport Courses with Tigers Trust and League Football Education (LFE) 
 
At the Tigers Trust we run an extensive and highly successful programme of community sports activities across the East Riding and Humber region. 
 
Our BTEC L2 and L3 Sport Courses with Tigers Trust and League Football Education (LFE) is in addition to our existing USW Community Football Coaching & Development Degree, starting this September. 
 
The aim is to offer two practical courses designed for young people passionate about sports, coaching, and fitness. These courses are ideal for those seeking an alternative to traditional college programmes, players looking for high-quality coaching and competitive football, and anyone who wants to study in a professional sports environment. 
 
These courses are for open for ages 16-19 years (Learners can apply up to the age of 24 if they have an Educational Health Care Plan - EHCP). 
 
We are excited to host two free open events at the Tigers Trust Arena this month on the below dates. It will be a great opportunity for young people to learn more about the courses on offer, and the events will also include an exclusive tour of the MKM Stadium.

Our Courses: 
 
BTEC Level 2 in Sport: 
 
Ideal for students wanting a foundation in sports studies 
Prepares students for Level 3 or employment in the sports industry 
Includes: Coaching, Fitness, Sports and Leadership 
 
BTEC Level 3 in Sport: 
 
Aimed at those pursuing a career in sport, coaching, or higher education 
Equivalent to A-Levels 
Includes: Coaching, Performance 
Optional: Anatomy, Psychology 
Unique Learning Experience: 
 
Location - Study at the home of Hull City, the MKM Stadium 
 
Smaller class sizes for personalised support. 
 
Industry Experience - Through work placements at the Tigers Trust alongside your studies. 
 
Hands-on learning with industry experts and guest speakers. 
 
Pathways - Further education, apprenticeships, or careers in sport. 
 
Football - Weekly fixtures and training to develop practical skills, social skills and teamwork. 
 
Split Timetable - Includes 14 – 18 hours guided learning.

Visits: 
 
Premier League Stadium Visits: Have the incredible opportunity to visit Premier League venues across the country, exploring behind the scenes at some of the finest stadiums. 
 
Hull City Training Ground Visits: Gain exclusive access for a Hull City training ground tour, gaining insight into what happens on a day to day basis. This includes coaching sessions led by professional staff, nutrition plans, gym activities, and special access to areas usually off-limits. You'll also have the chance to meet members of Hull City's playing squad and management, with an opportunity to take photos and gain knowledge from the players and backroom staff. 
Entry Requirements: 
 
BTEC Level 2 or NCFE Level 2 in Sport 
 
Minimum of three GCSES at Grade 3. 
This can include up to two BTEC First Awards (worth one GCSE each) and/or other relevant vocational qualifications. 
 
BTEC Level 3 (RQF) Diploma (2 A Level equivalent) in Sports Coaching and Development 
 
Minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4. 
This could include a maximum of two BTEC First Awards (worth one GCSE each) and or other relevant vocational qualifications. 
To include either English OR Maths at Grade 4. 
 
BTEC Level 3 (RQF) extended diploma (3 A level equivalent) in Sports Coaching and development 
 
Minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4-9. 
GCSE English Language and GCSE maths at grade 5 
 
Existing Level 2 learners progressing to Level 3 
 
Learners must achieve a minimum of a Merit profile at Level 2. 
Learners must achieve at least one of their English and Maths learning aims. 
Learners must have a minimum of 90% attendance and 95% punctuality, across all learning aims.
