Over the last month the Tigers Together participants were set a challenge to collectively walk or run 250km. The challenge is now complete, and our PL Kicks Officer, Paul, confirmed the total distance covered by everyone was a whopping 759.95km.

To everyone who took part, that is a fantastic achievement and hopefully can be used as a stepping stone to continue setting and achieving your own targets in life.

Our winner with an overall distance of 183.96km is Kirsty!

Kirsty often took her children out with her on her journeys which is fantastic considering she had to push the pram through snowy conditions!

Kirsty has used this challenge to kickstart a healthier lifestyle and commented:

‘Still no smoking, it will be 3 weeks tomorrow. I have just done nothing but go out for walks, this challenge couldn't of come at a better time for me.’

Good luck to one of our participants, Liam, who has completed our challenge and has now been inspired to raise money for a dementia charity by walking his dog for 100km

If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental well being or has a diagnosed mental health condition, the Tigers Together program is here to support you with free football sessions held in a relaxed supportive environment.  Whilst in lockdown, this support has been given virtually but we hope once restrictions allow, we can welcome participants back to our weekly sessions soon!
