Hello guest
Your basket is empty
You may have seen Kayleigh regularly across our social media channels over the last 6 months, she was heavily involved in the relief efforts during the first lockdown delivering almost 800 individual food parcels and covering over 15,000 miles in our van. Her role at the Tigers Trust is as our Social Inclusion Manager and as part of this weeks #NationalYouthWorkWeek we thought it would be a great opportunity for a quick Q & A.

Q:What do you love about your role at the Tigers Trust?
A: I'm proud to support and educate our local communities, allowing them to make better more informed choices. It is a job which allows you to sleep better on a night knowing you can make changes to people lives in our local communities. Also, leading an excellent team who are full of passion and want to make positive change.

Q: What is your proudest achievement so far?
A:Tough one this, as I am not one to blow my up trumpet… I would say my journey. Especially after getting told by a teacher I would never achieve anything!

Q:How can Tigers Trust support young people?
A: The Trust inspires the local community through sport and education providing opportunities, and removing barriers helping to raise aspirations. We have programmes such as the PL Kicks programme which is completely free for young people to attend and we run football and dance sessions at different locations in Hull, it's about getting young people engaging in positive activities. Obviously, in line with Government and FA guidelines we have had to recently cancel or change the delivery of these sessions, so please follow the Hull City Kicks Facebook page for updates.

Q:What advice for young people through Lockdown 2.0?
A: I would encourage young people to take up the opportunity to meet with one friend from outside their household (ensuring they abide by Government guidelines) and go for a walk. It is proven that exercise has a positive impact on peoples mental health. Myself, Ellie, Mark, Millie and Paul will continue to work throughout lockdown again to support not only young people but also the local community. We encourage anyone in need of support to contact us directly on our numbers (which can be found on the Kicks Facebook page) or drop us a message on the Hull City Kicks Facebook page. Take care and stay safe everyone!
