Sitting Volleyball is a fast exciting team sport that can be played whatever your skill level.

As a part of the volleyball family, the game is a team sport that can be played by able bodied and disabled individuals but is particularly suited to people with lower limb disabilities. As a team sport, volleyball encourages the development of both individual and team skills, fostering team spirit and working together in a team environment. For this reason, volleyball is a very “social” sport and new friends are easily made.

The new Hull City Sitting Volleyball Club will be one of the first club in the north of England to offer world class playing facilities and a specialist floor to allow comfort whilst playing. Hosted at the KC Stadium's Bonus Arena, players will benefit from the expert coaching from ex Great Britain International, Martin Chapman. Moreover, it is also an excellent way of keeping fit! Why not register by filling out the registration form attached and bringing it with you to the first session.

Main rule differences from the standing game are:

• Court dimensions: 10 m x 6 m
• Net height: 1.15m for men and 1.05m for women
• Buttocks/torso must remain on the floor when you are playing the ball
• Blocking the serve is allowed

Starts: 2nd June 2010, 6-8pm, at the Bonus Arena, Walton Street, Hull

The club is FREE to attend and play so come along to give it a try!
