The Tigers Sport and Education Trust have launched their new ‘DSActive’ football scheme which takes place Warners Sports Medicine on Pickering Road in Hull.

‘DSActive’ offers people with Down’s Syndrome between the ages of 5-12 and 13-25 the opportunity to play regular football in a comfortable yet challenging environment. The scheme was officially launched with an introductory session at the Bonus Arena recently and the future sessions with help those involved to not only improve their football skills, but will also enhance their confidence and self esteem as well as giving them the chance to meet new people and make new friends. Following on from the inaugural session on February 2nd, the scheme will then be run every Thursday between 5-6pm at Bonus Arena, KC Stadium, Hull

The Football Foundation has teamed up with the Down's Syndrome Association in support of their ‘DSActive’ programme by donating £125,916 to help develop 12 new Down's Syndrome specific football teams across the country over the next three years. From this money, the Tigers Trust has received £5,000 to help fund the ‘DSActive’ scheme for people living in Hull and the surrounding areas.
