Playing sport can be very rewarding and representing your school is such an achievement and honour. Whatever the results are there are usually some positives you could use to enhance confidence and self-esteem.

The Premier League Community Cup for Primary Schools: (boys and girls in years 5/6) took place November 2009.

Thirty schools entered the Hull and East Riding qualifying stage with the Victoria Dock eventually progressing as winners. Victoria Dock Primary School represent Hull City in the Regional Finals, held here during March, 2010.  They played against teams representing Bolton, Liverpool, Stoke and Wigan. They represented us very well by playing some good football, working hard as a team and showing great determination, but unfortunately they could only manage to finish a close third.

Well done to the team for getting so far, it is a great achievement. Thanks also to Mr Kite for entering once again!

The Premier League Community Cup for Secondary Schools: (girls in years 7/8) took place in January 2010.

Fourteen teams from the Hull and East Riding area competed for the honour of representing Hull City in the next stage. The winners, South Hunsley Sports College competed in the regional finals held here during March, against the teams mentioned above. The team showed a superb spirit and some excellent football, these qualities and their general organisation saw them lift the winners shield. The girls now progress to the National Finals and have the chance to play at Ewood Park, home of Blackburn Rovers.

Everyone here wishes the girls and Mr Simpson of South Hunsley the best of luck!

Come back to see how they get on.
