Encouraging children to meet targets...

If you can engage a child with a challenge, then they make an effort to achieve their goal. This develops an understanding of what is required i.e., a can do and will do attitude.

The challenges could be incorporated into PE lessons delivered by us or teachers. Once learnt the children could be provided with the equipment for extra practice during break times. The older children could be designated leaders, they could support younger children. We will produce laminated posters to display at the school.

Cross-curricular: children could record times and scores, develop graphs to show progress, evaluate others performance and set targets.

Fundraising Options:
•    Include a fee to participate e.g., £5, £10
•    Sponsored event with incentives e.g., raise £35 to receive a signed ball etc

Possible rewards: certificates, medals, tickets, signed footballs and shirt - presented by a player or Roary the Tiger (subject to availability). All costs must be covered.

Funds raised would be expected to pay for additional services, therefore the children involved are making a difference to the PE provision for the whole school.
