FitFans will not offer eating gimmicks or fad diets and will not mislead you about weight loss. The programme is as ethical as it is effective and our staff are specially trained and qualified to ensure that you get the right advice and support in respect of nutrition and physical activity. Quite simply, this programme changes lives!
We will explain why diets don’t work and why quick fixes quickly fail. We will explore the many issues relating to food and nutrition and examine the consequences of our behaviour. We will teach you the fundamentals of long-term weight management through an improved relationship with physical activity and you will reap the accompanying benefits; which are optimum long-term health and wellness.
This programme is free to the community of Hull (postcode HU1 – HU9).
Tigers Sport and Education Trust FitFans Project
The Fit Fans project is specifically designed to provide an effective community-based weight management intervention. Tigers Sport and Education Trust will provide (for adults) the nutritional advice / support and exercise guidance currently available to the athletes.
Who is invited?
The target group for FitFans (Tigers Sport and Education Trust) is men 40+ who believe that they would benefit from losing weight and improving their health and lifestyle.
What to expect
FitFans is a 12-week programme covering important nutritional information and exercise advice (with the opportunity for participation in exercise sessions). The programme is professionally delivered by experts. The structure of the programme is based around 12 meetings with each session lasting around 90 mins.
Where is it run?
Initially FitFans will be run at KC Stadium.
