Then... The NCS (National Citizen Service) programme might be for you!

If you are in Year 11 and from Hull and East Riding, then why not come and take part in this fantastic Government funded initiative. This is your opportunity to do something really positive during the summer holiday - it will benefit you and your community.

Take part and you will:

• learn some new skills
• meet new people
• make a difference in your community or address an issue you care about
• improve your curriculum vitae

NCS takes place during the summer holidays. It includes 10 days away from home on a team building programme. After that, you will need to complete another 30 hours over two weeks doing something worthwhile in your community.

Team building includes 5 days of exciting outdoor activities e.g., mountaineering, canoeing and abseiling at an outward bounds centre in North Yorkshire. Another 5 days will be spent closer to home, this residential will provide

Working as part of team, you will design and deliver your own community project.
