We hope to create football coaches that will support the development of grassroots football in our community!
Our Entry to Employment programme combines structured qualifications and flexible training intended to develop the learner’s social skills. We aim to up-skill and motivate learners and encourage them to apply for further education or find employment.
The learners will leave our 22 week programme with the following:
On receipt of an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check, the learners will have the opportunity to shadow our experienced community coaches. This means they receive individual learning and a chance to develop their leadership skills, having gradually built up their confidence.
The scheme runs in partnership with Hull College. Now in our second year, our method of teaching is proving to be a real success. Sixty learners have benefitted and we have seen over 80% leaving with a positive outcome.
